That blue chalk “Hogwarts” door at the Damen Blue Line stop may be more magical than most commuters ever knew.
In fact, according to “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling, it may even be Chicago’s own Platform 9 ¾.
A Blue Line rider tweeted a photo of the door at the author asking Rowling “can you tell me more about this door to Hogwarts at the Damen Blue Line stop in Chicago?
Rowling responded to the tweet saying “It’s for exchange students from Ilvermorny. Duh.”

Ilvermorny is known in the Potter world as the North American school of magic.
Rowling’s tweet surprised many Chicago fans, prompting speculation and excitement on social media as thousands responded.
So, is the door a magical portal transporting wizarding school students to Europe? You’ll just have to see it and find out for yourself.
