If you’re dying to get a look at the Shedd Aquarium’s dolphin calf Makoa, plan ahead—the aquarium will be closed two days this week for maintenance.
The aquarium will be closed Wednesday and Thursday “as we tidy up, train staff and continue our top-quality animal care,” according to a statement from the Shedd.
However, general admission to the Shedd will be free from Thursday through Monday for Illinois residents with a valid ID.
The Shedd is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.
