A famous actor on Saturday found a 42-year-old Los Angeles man dead of an apparent drug overdose in Chicago’s Knickerbocker Hotel.
Police say actor Peter Billingsley-Michaelsen found John O’Brien dead at the hotel around 5:25 p.m. Saturday and called 911.
O’Brien was last seen when he was dropped off at the hotel around 4:50 a.m. Saturday. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said he was dead when police arrived.
The Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel is located at 163 E. Walton St., in the Gold Coast neighborhood.
Billingsley-Michaelsen starred as Ralphie in the 1983 Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story."
