The votes are in for Chicago's best restaurants of the year according to Zagat.
The restaurant review site surveyed thousands of people across the country and analyzed the results for each city based on ratings and reviews from 2014. Each restaurant was given a score out of 30. The result was a list of the top 50 best restaurants in the city.
Topping the list in Chicago is Avec Restaurant, which serves Mediterranean food in the West Loop. Rounding out the top five are Alinea; Frontera Grill; Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab; and Katsu Japanese Restaurant.
The list can be sorted by food, decor, service and price. Using just one of these metrics, however, changes the order on the list quite a bit. The top restaurant for decor is North Pond in Lincoln Park, which came in at No. 48 overall. Alinea took the top spot for service, and Top Notch Beefburgers in Beverly took first place in price at $13 per meal.
