A new report released Tuesday revealed the top-rated workplaces in the Chicago area, listing 20 companies that made the cut.
Job site Indeed released its city-by-city breakdown of the best companies to work for in 12 major metropolitan areas, based on 72 million ratings and reviews of employers that were posted on the companies' pages on the site over the past two years. [[491536531, C]]
Taking the top spot in Chicago was Boston Consulting Group, which earned high marks for compensation and benefits based on more than 200 reviews.
Coming in second was Brookfield Zoo, for which 108 reviews found culture and work-life balance to be positive aspects of working at the institution.
Rounding out the top five were software companies SAP and Microsoft, as well as Argonne National Laboratory located in Lemont.
