Several cars fell through the ice at Lake Geneva's annual Winterfest celebration on Saturday evening.
Officials say about two dozen cars were parked on the frozen lake as an overflow lot because parking was scarce. But the mild weather meant the ice was thin, and couldn't support the weight of the vehicles.
The Lake Geneva Fire Department was on the scene, and all of the cars, many of which had Illinois license plates, were towed out of the water. No one was in the vehicles, and no injuries were reported.
