With heavy snow falling on the area, a slew of suburban school districts have announced that they will cancel classes on Monday.
Numerous school districts including Plainfield District 202, Woodstock District 200, Oswego District 308, and Yorkville District 115 have all announced that classes will be canceled on Monday.
Johnsburg District 12 also announced it will be closed.

Chicago Public Schools are monitoring forecasts as a winter storm pelts the area, but plans to have school buildings open on Monday for classes.
CPS made the announcement on Sunday evening on their social media feeds.
“CPS and the city of Chicago are closely monitoring the weather to ensure classes can safely resume tomorrow,” the district said. “Based on the current forecast, school will be in session as scheduled.”
Select schools in the area have already announced that they will be closed, including Maryville Jen School in Des Plaines, and the Most Blessed Trinity Academy in Waukegan. St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago will also be closed, as will St. John’s Lutheran School in Libertyville.
Northern Illinois University in DeKalb will open at 10 a.m. Monday morning, and the Universal Technical Institute in Lisle will cancel morning classes, but will have evening classes.
