A group of incredibly talented Chicago players will be making their way to Washington D.C. for the MLB All-Star Game later this month.
Headlining that list is Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras will make his first career start in the game.
Contreras, who is hitting .287 with seven home runs and 34 RBI, narrowly edged out Giants catcher Buster Posey in fan voting, and will be heading to the nation's capital for the game.
Contreras will be joined in the starting lineup by Cubs second baseman Javier Baez, who has been named to his first All-Star team after winning the fan vote over Braves star Ozzie Albies.
Baez is hitting .294 with 17 home runs and 63 RBI so far this season for the Cubs.
The Chicago White Sox will have a starter in the game as well, as first baseman Jose Abreu will make his second All-Star appearance.
Abreu is hitting .259 this season with 12 home runs and 50 RBI, and is making his first appearance in the game since his rookie year in 2014.

Cubs starter Jon Lester will also be heading to the game. He will make his fifth career appearance in the game, and is one of the top pitchers in the league with an 11-2 record and a 2.25 ERA this season.
