Chicago fire crews on Friday afternoon battled a fire at a vacant building on the city's west side.
The two-alarm fire was burning in the 3500 block of West 16th Street.
Portions of the roof collapsed onto lower floors, limiting firefighter access to the structure. Firefighters were using ladders to fight the fire from the perimeter.
Streets were blocked in the area.
Crews had the fire out by 6:30 p.m., and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation Friday night.
