One of Chicago's most distinctive landmarks has been named among the nation’s best, according to travel website TripAdvisor.
The city's Cloud Gate, also known as "The Bean," ranked 11th on a list of the country's best landmarks, according to the site.
TripAdvisor identified the top landmarks both in the U.S. and around the world, based on reviews and ratings over a 12-month period. Millennium Park's Cloud Gate, which just turned 10 years old, jumped three spots since being ranked 14th in the nation in 2015.
This year’s top-ranked national landmark was the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C., followed by the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz, both in San Francisco, California.
The top landmarks in the world were Machu Picchu in Peru, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
