Chicago Restaurant Week Extended Through Feb. 12

More than 235 restaurants opted to take part in the extended Chicago Restaurant Week, which goes to Feb. 12.

Chicago Restaurant Week was extended because of last week’s cold snap, and you can still get some great eats around the city. NBC 5’s Sabrina Santucci has the story.

After a record cold week in Chicago kept most people from venturing outside, the city's annual Restaurant Week has been extended an additional five days.

More than 235 restaurants opted to take part in the extended Chicago Restaurant Week, which goes to Feb. 12.

Special prix fixe menus at participating restaurants start at $24 for brunch and lunch and $36-$48 for dinner. All prices exclude beverages, tax and gratuity.

"It’s the perfect excuse to visit an old favorite or try somewhere new," city representatives said in a statement.
