Chicago's ‘You Name a Snowplow' contest ends Friday night. Here's how you can vote

During the current phase of the contest, residents can pick from the 50 names selected during the initial phase.

Chance The Scraper, Chillinois, Plowapalooza or Scoop Dogg could be the names of Chicago’s newest snowplows.

And it's up to you to help decide.

Chicago's Department of Streets and Sanitation ends its second annual “You Name a Snowplow" contest at 11:59 p.m. on Friday.

The six names with the highest votes will be featured on a snowplow in each of the city's six snow districts.

Each person can vote for up to six names from the list of competing names.

This voting process marks phase two of the contest. In phase one, Chicago residents entered names that would be potential contenders. Now during phase two, residents can choose from the 50 names selected during the initial phase.

Residents whose name suggestion wins will be offered a photo opportunity with the named snowplow and will receive some city merchandise.
