Person stabbed near Loop CTA station, police say

Trains on multiple CTA lines bypassed a station in the Loop after a man was stabbed Monday night.

According to Chicago police, a 30-year-old man was stabbed Monday in the 100 block of North Clark Street.

At approximately 9:18 p.m., police found the man at the location. He had suffered lacerations to his neck and leg, and was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

The victim had been involved in a verbal altercation with two men near the location, and one of the men had pulled out a sharp object and stabbed him, police said.

According to the CTA’s website, trains on the Blue, Brown, Green, Orange and Pink Lines all began bypassing the Clark/Lake station just before 10 p.m. Monday.
