Cubs, Sox Game Gets Underway After 2-Hour Rain Delay

After a rain delay of over two hours, the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox are finally underway at Wrigley Field.

The game was scheduled to start at 1:20 p.m. but because of rain, it was pushed back until just after 3:30 p.m.

"Thanks for your patience and please let us know if you have any other questions," the Cubs tweeted.

The Cubs first tweeted close to 1 p.m. saying "we're going to delay the start of the game to allow that potential threat to pass."

Two storms were expected to occur this weekend with scattered storms including heavy rainfall that could potentially cause some flooding by the evening hours Saturday.
