Lollapalooza Three-Day Passes Sold Out

Single-day passes released and lineup announced April 9

That was fast.

Early bird Lollapalooza tickets sold out minutes after they went on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, and it didn't take long for the the rest of the three-day passes to go as well.

"Due to unprecedented demand for Lollapalooza tickets, Early Bird passes were snapped up in record time," fest organizers wrote on Lollapalooza's Facebook page.

Lollapalooza organizers tweeted shortly before 1 p.m. that regular-priced 3-day passes were also sold out.

The "early bird" three-day passes were on sale for $200, the regular-price passes for $235.

Single-day passes will be available April 9, which is also the same day the lineup will be released.

The Tribune reported last week that Mumford & Sons, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend and the Killers will headline the annual festival in Grant Park. All three bands are Lolla alums and reportedly will join The National and The Postal Service on this year's roster.

Lollapalooza kicks off Aug. 2 in Grant Park through Aug. 4.

Last year's headliners included The Black Keys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Sabbath and Jack White.
