Cold weather and snow have led to the cancellation of over 100 flights at Chicago’s airports on Thursday.
According to the latest data from the city of Chicago, 84 flights have been cancelled at Midway Airport on Thursday. The average flight is being delayed 16 minutes thanks to weather-related issues sich as de-icing planes and snowy runways.
At O’Hare International Airport, there have been a total of 28 flight cancellations, with average delays of around 20 minutes, according to the city.
Cold temperatures have created icing issues on planes, and snowy conditions in some parts of the area have also played a factor in travel issues.
