Final Guests Kept Secret from Oprah

A free show at the United Center will include "some of the biggest names" in music and movies

Trying to get details on Oprah's final week of shows?

Good luck. Not even Oprah Winfrey knows which stars will grace her couch during two of the last episodes.

"Oprah Show" execs booked Chicago's United Center for May 17 to tape a -- brace yourself -- free show titled "Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular." The event will air as two, pre-finale shows scheduled to air May 23 and 24.

The taping is expected to include "some of the biggest names in movies, music and television in a one-time-only gathering to celebrate the 25-year legacy [of the show]," Harpo execs said Thursday.

There's one catch: Winfrey won't know who's stopping by. Producers are keeping the guest lineup a secret from her, and the list won't be announced or confirmed in advance, execs said in a news release.

Ticketing information is available on Oprah.com starting at 10 a.m. Thursday. Tickets are free and only available online.

“As most of our viewers know, being surprised is not one of Oprah’s favorite things," said executive producer Sheri Salata. "In the spirit of our farewell season, she is making a rare exception and we intend to make the most of that opportunity. It will be something to see!”

There's still no word on what's planned for the big finale May 25.
