See ya, winter. Chicago's getting a big dose of spring for the next two days.
After a chilly Tuesday morning, sun kicked in and began boosting temperatures toward expected highs of 57 to 62.
With the warm break comes wind, though. A Wind Advisory goes into effect until 6 p.m. as winds move south and increase from 15 to 30 mph with gusts of up to 40 mph.
Tuesday night is expected to remain windy, though mostly clear and mild for the season with overnight lows falling only to between 45 and 50 degrees.
Part Two of Chicago's burst of spring kicks off Wednesday with anticipated highs ranging from 60 to a whopping 66. Sunshine switches to clouds through the afternoon and wind continues with up to 40 mph gusts.
Showers could develop late Wednesday evening and increase to rain with a few thunderstorms overnight.
Light rain wraps up Thursday morning as clouds gradually break for partial sunshine. Temperatures cool off to the mid-40s and hang there for much of the weekend.
