Actress Leslie Jones has become quite the legend for her incredible play-by-play of Olympic events, and now the comedienne is bringing her star power to Pyeongchang.
Jones, a cast member on “Saturday Night Live” and films like “Ghostbusters,” has checked out numerous events in Korea since she arrived there earlier in the week, and she ran across one of Chicago’s Olympic heroes at the Games:
“Yo I was pumped to meet Hilary Knight and Megan Keller tonight at (the) hockey game,” she tweeted. “I’ll be there Monday ladies!”
Knight and the U.S. women’s hockey team has gone 2-1 in the Olympics so far, with a loss to Team Canada ensuring that they would play Finland in the semifinal round on Monday.
With a few days off, Knight and her teammates have been exploring the different venues in Pyeongchang, and Knight herself has embarked on an epic quest to find the best churro at the Games.
As for Jones, she also took in the men’s free skate on Saturday in Pyeongchang, and hit the speedskating track to watch some of America’s best, including Maame Biney and Lana Gehring, compete.
