Chicagoans like to brag about having the best pizza in the world, but usually they're not talking about the frozen kind.
Well let the bragging begin after Consumer Reports named Chicago's Home Run Inn No. 1 when it comes to the best frozen pizza.
The Chicago-based company received "Very Good" marks for its cheese and pepperoni pizzas, and the cheese pizza was labeled tastier than the fresh deep dish and original pizzas from Domino's and Pizza Hut.
Home Run Inn's pizza received especially high marks for its "flaky crust loaded with stretchy cheese."
The news wasn't all good when it comes to your waistline. The report also included the calories and fat content for each pizza, categories that also landed Home Run Inn at or near the top of the heap of the listed brands.
The family-owned and operated company offers its product in 28 states nationwide.
