A fire at a residential complex in south suburban Homewood left two people injured, according to preliminary information.
The fire, in a six-story building on the 18400 block of Cherry Creek Drive, was two-alarms as of 6 p.m.
Several people were trapped and needed to be rescued, officials said, but ultimately everyone was able to get out of the building.
Two people were injured, but not seriously, officials said.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
