1-on-1: J.B. Pritzker Discusses His Agenda Ahead of Inauguration Day

Governor Bruce Rauner and Illinois First Lady Diana Rauner spoke fondly of their time in office on Sunday, including about the restoration of the Illinois governor’s mansion, and incoming Governor JB Pritzker spoke about the changes he hopes to bring to the state. To recap a busy day in Springfield, NBC 5’s Mary Ann Ahern has all the details.

Governor-elect J.B. Pritzker will be sworn in on Monday, and before he took office, he spoke to NBC 5 Political Reporter Mary Ann Ahern.

Pritzker, who won the November election over incumbent Republican Bruce Rauner, has made a lot of promises in his run for office, including a proposal to legalize marijuana, raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour, and to transition the state away from a flat tax system and toward a progressive tax.

He spoke on all of those ideas, and more, in his interview with NBC 5:
