The Chicago Bulls have dropped out of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and are in desperate need of a boost, and they'll get one on Saturday when they take on the Houston Rockets.
According to Vincent Goodwill of CSN Chicago, that boost will come in the form of Jimmy Butler, who will return to the Bulls' lineup after missing the last 10 games with a knee injury. The Bulls were 3-7 in Butler's absence, and after a brief three-game winning streak they've fallen on hard times again as they've dropped behind the Detroit Pistons in the standings.
Butler will not be held to any sort of minutes limitation, according to Goodwill, and that's a good thing because the team will need every ounce of offensive output that their star guard can muster.
In 48 games this season, Butler is averaging 22.4 points per game and 5.2 rebounds, and he's also averaging nearly two steals per contest. Those numbers are close to what he was averaging last year during his breakout campaign, and with two All-Star Game selections to his credit, it's clear why Butler is so important to the Bulls' chances of getting back into the playoff picture.
