Man Charged in Joliet Double Homicide: Police

A man has been arrested after two bodies were found inside of a body shop in Joliet, according to police.

William Krasawski, 41, has been charged with two accounts of first-degree murder after being holed up in a Star Hotel in Chicago Heights, police said. He was on parole for the aggravated vehicular hijacking of handicapped person.

Krasawski's attorney information was not immediately available.

Police received a call just before noon when an employee discovered the bodies inside of Fleet Specialty Painting and Auto Body, located in 809 E. Cass St. on the east side of Joliet.

The man and woman were identified as Michael R. Oram, Sr., 48, of Joliet and Jamie L. Willis, 43, of Lockport, the Will County coroner's office said. Police said they died of blunt force trauma.

"There were signs that there were injuries consisted with homicide so that's what we're looking at, on both victims," said Deputy Chief Alan Roechner.

There were no signs of forced entry and a murder weapon was not found, police said.

A customer who wanted to remain anonymous believed he spoke with the two victims Tuesday when he dropped off his car. He said was shocked to learn about the incident.

“Oh wow we just talked those people, just had a conversation,” the customer said. "How fast things can change.”
