There is a lot of excitement building in the Windy City as Saturday’s game between the Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Penguins draws closer, and one TV show is going to capitalize on that excitement.
That show, “Chicago Fire”, will look to capture some of the Hawks’ magic on celluloid as defensemen Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook make a cameo in Tuesday’s episode, which airs at 9 p.m. Central time on NBC.
Here is how the NHL described Keith and Seabrook’s cameo roles on the show:
“In the episode titled “Virgin Skin,” Shay (played by Lauren German) gets an unusual tip from Seabrook and Keith, friends of Clarke (guest star Jeff Hephner) who stop by Molly’s, the local bar that is co-owned by several members from Firehouse 51. The much-anticipated 2014 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series outdoor matchup between the Blackhawks and the Pittsburgh Penguins at Soldier Field generates excitement at Molly’s and the firehouse.”
The Hawks’ blue liners have made their fair share of appearances in promotional videos released by the team’s website, but this takes their acting to a whole new level.
Soon the duo could be appearing in a hockey-themed version of “Space Jam” ... or they could just appear on this show as a one-and-done acting gig. One of the two.
