A man was pulled from the water after he apparently jumped into the Chicago River downtown Saturday morning.
The man, whose age was not immediately known, jumped into the river from the Michigan Avenue bridge near Wacker Drive at 10:49 a.m., according to Chicago Police and the Chicago Fire Department.
The crew of a tour boat managed to grab the man before rescue crews arrived, according to CFD spokesman Jeff Lyle. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
A police source said the man jumped into the river in what appeared to be a suicide attempt.
