Man Shot While Driving on I-55

A man was wounded in a shooting Sunday on Interstate 55 on the Near South Side.

The 34-year-old told investigators he was driving about 1:40 a.m. on I-55 near South King Drive when someone fired shots from another vehicle, Illinois State Police said.

The man suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound and was treated at a local hospital, state police said.

Illinois State Police are investigating.
