Man Ticketed For Walking On Dangerous Ice

A 23-year-old man was ticketed Wednesday afternoon after he walked onto dangerous ice at Monroe Harbor.

The police Marine Unit responded to a call of a man walking on the ice at Monroe Harbor about 4:20 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Ana Pacheco said.

The Chicago Fire Department rescued the man from the dangerous ice and turned him over to police, said Fire Media Affairs.

He refused medical attention and was issued a citation for violating an ordinance, Pacheco said.
