A man is wanted for allegedly touching a 9-year-old girl in a grocery store Monday afternoon on Chicago’s Northwest Side, police said.
The child was in a grocery store in the 3600 block of West Fullerton Avenue in the city's Logan Square neighborhood about 3:45 p.m. An unknown man “squeezed her buttocks with his hand,” according to Chicago police.
The man was confronted by a family member of the girl but ran from the store.
He was described as being Hispanic, 30-40 years old, light complexion, heavy build, 5’05’’, with black hair and brown eyes. He was also reported to be wearing a white baseball cap with a light colored T-shirt that said “A Better World” on it, with dark pants and white shoes, police said.
The man was caught on surveillance video.
Police say family members should caution children to be alert to strangers and aware of their surroundings.
