It's almost time to bid farewell to 2023 and say hello to the New Year. Whether you're planning to celebrate by hosting a party or attend a gathering elsewhere, you just might have to make a trip to the store for last-minute essentials.
Before you head out, you'll want to double check if the store you're going to is open. Chances are it will be - if you're venturing out in the daytime.
Most major groceries and retail stores will be open for the holiday, though many will close early. Some, however, will maintain their regular hours.
Here's which stores are open on New Year's Eve and the hours of operation:
- Walmart - Regular hours
- Costco - 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Target - Most stores will close at 9 p.m.
- Jewel - Regular hours
- CVS - Most will operated on regular hours, though some locations may have reduced hours of operation.
- Walgreens - Regular hours, but pharmacy hours vary by location.
- Lowes - Stores close at 6 p.m.
- Mariano's - Stores may close early.
- Macys - 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Whole Foods - 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Home Depot - 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Kohls - 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Lowes - 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Meijer - 6 a.m. to midnight
- IKEA - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Sams Club - Stores close at 6 p.m.
- Trader Joes - Stores close at 5 p.m.
