Streets around Wrigley Field in Chicago’s Wrigleyville neighborhood on the North Side were closed due to a possible gas leak Thursday afternoon, authorities confirmed.
Police cars could be seen in the area of Clark and Patterson streets and the smell of gas was reportedly heavy in the air about 2:15 p.m.
There were no injuries and no evacuations, Chicago fire officials confirmed.
