Texas rapper Travi$ Scott was arrested at Lollapalooza for allegedly urging fans to jump the barricades and storm the stage, Chicago officials say.
Scott, whose real name is Jacques Webster, had performed just one song when fans began to jump the barricades into the security pit. The rapper then fled the scene, but Chicago Police caught up with him soon after and arrested him, according to a statement from the city's Office of Emergency Management and Communications.
No fans were injured when they jumped the barricades.
Scott was arrested and charged with reckless conduct, according to Chicago Police. A fan was also arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, according to OEMC.
Concert promoter C3 Presents released a statement following the incident confirming that no fans were injured.
"Fans jumped the barricade into the security pit at Lollapalooza during Travis Scott's performance on Saturday at Lollapalooza," the statement read. "The situation was resolved quickly and no patrons were injured. Operations have resumed as normal. Chicago Police are handling the matter."
An email sent to Scott's booking agent seeking comment wasn't immediately returned.
