It's starting to look like the wild, wild west when it comes to the River North nightlife scene -- at least where the ranches are concerned.
Rockit Ranch Productions, owners of hotspots like Sunda restaurant and The Underground nightclub, have purchased Martini Ranch, a shuttered bar at 311 W. Chicago Ave.
Rockit CEO Billy Dec announced the purchase on his blog, and praised the acquisition for its walking distance to Rockit's other properties and the fact that it has a rare 4 a.m. license.
Dec is looking for suggestions for a theme for the new spot, running a survey with options including a dive bar or a Mexican-style taco bar.
The new spot will open in early 2013 while The Underground undergoes renovations.
