Several people were injured Friday when a CTA bus collided with a semi truck on Chicago’s Near West Side.
The accident took place around 10:20 a.m. Friday in the 2400 block of West 15th Place near South Western Avenue, according to police and Fire Media Affairs.
According to Fire Media, five people were transported in fair-to-serious condition, and one other was taken in good condition, while 18 people refused treatment.
Chicago Police News Affairs, however, said five people were transported with non-life threatening injuries.
A level one HAZMAT was also called at the accident due to a diesel fuel spill at the scene, officials said.
