The Kankakee County Sheriff's Office has issued an arrest warrant for a man in connection with a workplace shooting Wednesday night.
Authorities are looking for 25-year-old Rene Flores. He stands 5'9" and weighs 190 pounds, and should be considered armed and dangerous, according to the sheriff's office.
He was last seen driving a black 2010 Chrysler 300 with Illinois license plate number L699896, the sheriff's office said. His last listed address was 679-A 2000 South Rd. in Kankakee, according to the sheriff's office.
Ambulances from at least four agencies were called to 1125 West Sycamore Street in Manteno Wednesday. A Tyson Foods distribution facility, Four Ts Company, is listed at that address.
The shooting victim, a man, was taken to Provena St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee, said Kankakee County Sheriff's Police Chief Deputy Ken McCabe. The man, originally taken to the hospital in critical condition, was upgraded to stable on Thursday afternoon, according to the sheriff's office.
Warehouse employees were sent home after the incident, McCabe said.
Tyson officials have not yet issued a comment.
Crime Stoppers of Kankakee County is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to Flores' arrest. They are asking anyone with information to call 815-932-7463.
