A collision between an Oak Brook police squad car and a semi truck blocked traffic on the southbound side of the Tri-State Tollway near suburban Countryside on Tuesday afternoon, according to authorities.
Illinois State Police confirmed that they were handling the clean-up of the crash scene, which was reported just before 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The DuPage County Major Crimes Unit was dispatched to the scene, and is the lead agency on the investigation, according to ISP officials.
No injuries were reported in the crash, which reportedly took place after a police pursuit.
According to Total Traffic, the Tri-State was fully closed between 75th Street and Archer Avenue in suburban Countryside for approximately half an hour. Ultimately authorities were able to clear the debris from the crash.
