The goat is growing.
Stephanie Izard continues to grow her Chicago culinary empire with the Dec. 28 opening of the Little Goat Diner.
The 8,200 square foot space is located at 820 W. Randolph Street, the former location of Red Light restaurant and across the street from her highly-successful Girl and the Goat.
The diner seats 120 customers, but also includes an artisan bread and coffee shop (which opened earlier this month), a bar and a demo kitchen and classroom that also doubles as a private dining space.
Breakfast is served all day and night -- from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. -- but Izard has also put her unique twist on classic diner favorites with locally-sourced and in-house made ingredients. Think Pork Belly Pancakes and Fat Elvis Waffles.
Izard is best known for winning Season Four of Bravo's Top Chef. She was named a Food & Wine magazine Best New Chef in 2011 and is a multiple James Beard Foundation award nominee.
