Striking Chicago Public Schools staff took a new approach to marching along the picket lines Thursday, instead choosing to perform the dance to Michael Jackson's "Thriller."
The members of the Chicago Teachers Union and Service Employees International Union appeared in a video taken outside Bell Elementary School on the city's North Side performing the choreography while chanting "Lori Lightfoot, get on the right foot."
"Bell Elementary's CTU and SEIU 73 aren't THRILLED to be out on the picket line again, but we're THRILLED to keep up the energy to fight for our students," the video's caption read.
By Friday morning, the footage had been viewed nearly 13,000 times.
Meanwhile, the strike entered a seventh day of canceled classes Friday.
Although no agreement was reached Thursday, officials with Chicago Public Schools and the Chicago Teachers Union say that there was some progress made in negotiations. Both sides said Thursday they've made progress at the bargaining table but disagreements remain on big issues like class sizes and staffing.
