Chicago police say that three suspects are in custody after a SWAT team responded to an Old Town high-rise on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities say that a fourth suspect remains at-large after the incident, which took place at an apartment building near the intersection of Division and Wells.
Illinois State Police observed the suspects driving a stolen vehicle prior to the incident, and when they attempted to apprehend them, the four individuals ran into the structure, where they were barricaded for more than five hours.
Just before 10 p.m., police announced that three of the suspects had been apprehended, and that the scene had been secured.
Chicago police located stolen weapons within the vehicle, and as of Tuesday night at least six weapons have been recovered in total.
Division Street was closed in both directions between Orleans and Wells, but has since reopened. CTA bus service has also resumed, police said.
