Chicago is known for plenty of dishes, but most diners likely don’t know that the Windy City is home to some of the best Buffalo wings in the country.
According to a ranking compiled by The Daily Meal, Chicago is home to three of the top 25 wing joints in the United States. The list, which features wings from states all across America, touts a trio of special Chicago eateries that are serving up the best chicken imaginable.
Jake Melnick’s Corner Tap, located near the corner of Superior and Wabash, is ranked 15th on the list, according to the website.
The bar is praised for its “flawless, evenly fried wings,” and the ranking even goes so far as to say that they’ll make a wing lover out of those who claim not to love the fried creations.
Two other Chicago-area eateries also made the cut, including Buffalo Joe’s in Evanston, which checked in at number 19, and Bird’s Nest, located in the city’s West DePaul neighborhood on the North Side.
For those curious about which wings reigned supreme, Duff’s Famous Wings in upstate New York was crowned the king of wings.
