3 Men Robbed at Gunpoint at CTA Red Line Stop

Three people say they were robbed when another group of three individuals pulled a gun on them while standing on a Red Line CTA platform at the Grand and State station. NBC 5’s Chris Hush has their harrowing story.

Three people were robbed at the Grand and State red line CTA stop on Saturday afternoon, according to Chicago police.

Officers responded to a call at 12:25 p.m. on Saturday. Three men, ages 22, 24, and 26, told police that they were approached by three unknown men, who demanded property while they were standing on the train platform.

During the robbery, one of the men displayed a handgun, and the victims complied with the thieves’ demands.

No one was injured during the robbery, and the three alleged thieves jumped back onto a train and left the station after the incident.
