Why It's Time for Boozer to Step Up

Boozer's on a roll. But if he falters, which player will step up to challenge him?

With Joakim Noah out, Carlos Boozer is stepping up in a big way.

Question is, how long will he keep that up?

Boozer has shown flashes of brilliance in the past, but he's not consistent. You've got to wonder about his motor. And when crunch time comes around, can we really trust him?

He seems like the perfect example of one of those guys who shows up on a veteran team and suddenly starts producing. He needs alpha males around to keep him in check. On a lesser team, he'll mail it in.

It seems like the Bulls don't have a true alpha presence yet. Derrick Rose is a quiet leader. Noah is a clown. Everyone else is... everyone else.

Yes, Boozer is performing now, but we wonder if it will last.

And if he falters, which of these players will step up to challenge him and get him hustling again?

Because if Boozer is running at 100 percent, the Bulls will be a far more dangerous team.
