Tornado Victim Identified in Washington

Washington was among the hardest hit communities in Illinois

A first aerial look at the damage caused by Sunday’s devastating tornado in Washington, Ill.

Authorities have identified the man who was killed when a tornado struck the central Illinois community of Washington.

The Tazewell County Coroner's office on Monday said 51-year-old Steve Neubauer was found dead near his home. The office did not offer details, but confirmed Neubauer's death was a result of the storms that hit the area on Sunday. An autopsy was scheduled for later on Monday

Washington was among the hardest hit communities in the state. Neubauer is one of six Illinois residents who were killed.
