Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Parts of Illinois

Pete Sack has the latest forecast update for the Chicago area.

A winter weather advisory was declared in effect until midnight Friday—including a threat of freezing drizzle and light snow in parts of central and northeast Illinois.

The advisory covers Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, Ogle, Lee, DeKalb, Kane and Kendall counties. Ice and snow accumulation will likely be less than an inch.

Commuters should plan on slippery road conditions that could impact the evening commute.

Limited visibility could also be an issue in the impacted areas.
