Wintry weather and icy conditions are causing flight delays and cancellations at Chicago airports, as over 100 flights have been cancelled.
In total, just under 150 flights have been cancelled at Midway and O’Hare Airports, as winter weather impacts travel just one day after Chicago enjoyed near-record warmth.
84 flights have been cancelled at O’Hare, according to the Chicago Department of Aviation, and flight delays are averaging just under 20 minutes at the airport as of 6 p.m. Friday evening.
At Midway, delays are slightly shorter at just under 15 minutes on average, but 65 flights have been cancelled as a result of the weather.
