Woman Killed in Schiller Park Hit-and-Run: Police

The woman was struck by two different vehicles, one of which fled the scene

A 63-year-old woman died after being hit by two vehicles, one of which did not stop, Tuesday in northwest suburban Schiller Park. NBC 5’s Charlie Wojciechowski reports.

A 63-year-old woman died after being hit by two vehicles, one of which did not stop, Tuesday in northwest suburban Schiller Park.

The woman was struck by a 2013 Hyundai about 5:25 a.m. as she crossed in the middle of the 9700 block of Irving Park Road, Schiller Park police said.

The victim, later identified as Regina Sariol, was first struck by a 2013 Hyundai Elantra that was traveling westbound on Irving Park Road before being struck by another vehicle that was traveling eastbound on the same road. The second vehicle did not stop after striking the woman.

The second vehicle was identified by authorities ass a 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette Minivan driven by a 64-year-old man.

Sariol died at the scene, police said.

The incident is still under investigation.
