A 34-year-old man was found dead in Woodstock Saturday and area police have deemed his death “suspicious.”
Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Sheila Street in Woodstock in reference to an unresponsive man.
The man was found dead at the scene and the circumstances surrounding the death were deemed to be “suspicious,” according to a release from the Woodstock Police Department.
The McHenry County Coroner identified the man as Mark Medina of Woodstock.
An autopsy conducted Sunday revealed Medina died from multiple stab and incised wounds on his chest and upper body.
Police said an investigation is ongoing but that they do not believe there is danger to the public.
