A pregnant Seattle woman says she was kicked off a bus because of her baby’s diaper odor—an ordeal that made her “feel like crap.”
Nichole Hakimian and her 1-year-old son with an intestinal illness were on their way to a health clinic Tuesday, KOMO News reported.
"He had just pooped in his diaper as soon as I got on, because he was having diarrhea," Hakimian told the TV station.
Hakimian said the driver asked her and her son to get off the bus because the smell was disturbing the ride for other passengers.
"I said, 'My son is sick. I'm taking him to a doctor's appointment,’” Hakimian told KOMO.
The driver then stopped the bus and about a half a mile from the clinic, she said. Hakimian, who is four months pregnant, found a nearby location to change her son’s diaper.
"I feel like I was being discriminated against and bullied. And it made me feel like crap. It really did," she told KOMO.

After she got on another bus to the clinic, Hakimian learned her son was suffering from a stomach bug.
King County transit agency is investigating the incident after Hakimian’s complaint.
