Malia Obama is already making the most of her summer. The first daughter reportedly has been working as a production assistant on the Los Angeles set of the new TV series "Extant," starring Halle Berry and produced by Steven Spielberg.
"Last week, the President’s oldest daughter 'helped with computer shop alignments and the director also let her slate a take,' " according to an account in The Wrap.
According to The Wrap, Malia laughed and added, "My first time. This is a big deal.”
President Obama and Michelle spent the weekend in California. The president delivered the commencement address at the University of California Irvine, and the couple visited with Malia.
Sasha Obama, Malia's younger sister, did not travel with the couple.
Malia turns 16 on July 4 and is a rising high school junior. In January, the New Yorker revealed that she is an aspiring filmaker.
