Giuliani Time for Kirk, Brady

Republican candidates Bill Brady (governor) and Mark Kirk (senate) are bringing in the big gun this week.

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani comes to town Monday to stump for both men. He'll begin with a fund raiser for Brady in Brady's hometown of Bloomington before heading to Chicago to talk about gangs and law enforcement at an event for Kirk.

Giuliani has perceived law enforcement credentials after his stint as the New York's CEO. He's credited with helping clean up a gang problem and to make the city more friendly for tourists. He also served during the 9/11 terror attacks on the World Trade Center and never lets anyone forget it.

Guiliani ran for president in 2008 on platform that emphasized his national security strengths but didn't show in any Republican primaries and exited the race early on.

Kirk aides said the pair will talk up legislation that could provide $20 million for national anti-gang task force.
